Miami Hotels and Accommodation

(Miami, Florida - FL, USA)

There is no denying the appeal of Miami, with its famous coastline, glamorous Art Deco buildings and beachfront hotels. However, high visitors numbers do mean that accommodation is often a little pricey, and this is actually typical of much of southern Florida.

Each neighborhood in Miami attracts different types of hotels, with the main areas including downtown, Coconut Grove, Coral Gables, Liberty City, Little Havana and also Key Biscayne, which is connected to the mainland by the Rickenbacker Causeway.

If you have the money, then beachfront accommodation is likely to be a must, although lodging rates do provide better value if you are prepared to forego the view and stay a few blocks away from the sand. You can also enjoy some sizable discounts if you choose to visit Miami during the summer months, except of course during the hectic celebrations on Labor Day and the 4th of July.

Miami is small enough that you can stay just about anywhere without feeling isolated, although the largest concentration of hotels and motels are located on Miami Beach, which is an ideal base for nightlife, beach life and touring the city.

Luxury hotels are plentiful and budget lodging is also available is some areas, particularly in the Sunny Isles and Golden Beach area of the North Miami Beach district. If you are searching for budget accommodation, then consider the hostels around Miami Beach, which are located on Ninth Street and Washington Avenue. Alternatively, the Chateaubleau Hotel in Coral Gables, on the Ponce de Leon Boulevard, is always good value and is operated by Best Western.
