The Boulder Country Club along Clubhouse Road is one of the most popular courses close to the city and comprises 27 holes in total. Also of note is the Flatirons Golf Course on East Arapahoe Road, where you will encounter 18 very scenic holes, a driving range, PGA professional instructors and most impressive of all, a magnificent mountainous backdrop provided of course by the Rockies.

Coal Creek Golf Course

The Coal Creek Golf Course lies to the southeast of Boulder and is just a 20-minute drive away, being close to the Jefferson County Airport and north of the Standley Lake Regional Wildlife Park. With scenery comprises mountains, mature trees and water features, Coal Creek has become well known for its 16th hole, which boasts a rather sharp drop to the green and is not to be missed at any cost.

Located within the city's appealing University Hill area, the Flatirons Golf Course tends to be a particular favorite with local golfers, due in no small past to its close proximity to the very center of Boulder. The fairways and greens are always extremely well maintained, while the clubhouse is home to a good restaurant, overlooking the course itself. Founded in 1933, the Flatirons Golf Course is a par-70, 18-hole course, measuring 6,125 meters / 20,095 feet in total.

Catering well for the less experienced golfers, the Haystack Mountain Golf Course lies just outside of the city's environs and offers a unique golfing experience, with beautiful prairie expanses, a wealth of native flora and fauna, plenty of tricky water hazards, distant mountain scenery and a characterful, meandering creek.

The Boulder Country Club comprises two separate courses - 18 holes (6,400 meters / 21,000 feet) and 9 holes (2,025 meters / 6,645 feet). Founded as long ago as 1918, this particular golf course caters well to meet all skill levels and has hosted a number of prestigious golfing tournaments over its many years in existence.
