The Coal Creek Golf Course lies to the southeast of Boulder and is just a 20-minute drive away, being close to the Jefferson County Airport and north of the Standley Lake Regional Wildlife Park. With scenery comprises mountains, mature trees and water features, Coal Creek has become well known for its 16th hole, which boasts a rather sharp drop to the green and is not to be missed at any cost.

Located within the city's appealing University Hill area, the Flatirons Golf Course tends to be a particular favorite with local golfers, due in no small past to its close proximity to the very center of Boulder.
