The best beach in Big Sur
We were pretty much spoiled for choice when it came down to picking a beach in Big Sur. When asked which we thought was the best upon returning home, we had to choose Pfeiffer Big State Beach. We were able to walk just half a mile from our city centre accommodation and took advantage of the spectacular waves when surfing.

Falls I enjoyed better than the more famous ones in Big Sur
Everyone says that the falls at Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park are the best but personally I would go for McWay Falls. I was able to enjoy an easy hike with great views and the landscape was simply stunning. Those who are making their way along Highway 1 will be interested in this.

Bixby rules
I'm not from California, or America, but I enjoyed Bixby Bridge the most. I also don't have interested in photography but the pictures I have from this place is the best in my collection from west coast trip. You can enjoy even if you aren't traveling down Pacific Coast Highway.

Big Sur's main draw
I headed to Big Sur just for the Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park alone. It didn't feel too tourist-driven and was easy to find just 10 miles from the town centre. Although there were beaches that were great for a walk, I was most blown-away by the 80-foot waterfall that is simply breathtaking.

A must for photographers and architecture buffs
As a budding Californian photographer, I was told that I should head to Bixby Bridge - a popular subject that isn't just a landmark or great example of architecture but also an attraction in my state where great views of Big Sur and its surrounding areas can be enjoyed. 10/10.
