Chapel of the Holy Cross

Providing amazing views, Sedona's most prominent manmade landmark, the Chapel of the Holy Cross, is a small church surrounded by red-rock in the south of the town, above Highway 179. Brainchild of sculptor and painter Marguerite Brunswig Staude, the church has a contemporary design and was built as if it is growing out of the rock.

Oak Creek Canyon

Of the many canyons in the area, the Oak Creek Canyon is the most outstanding and is accessible via Highway 89, which runs from Flagstaff through Sedona and onto Cottonwood.
