Chiclayo Hotels and Accommodation

(Chiclayo, Lambayeque, Peru)

Image of popular city lodgingThere are more than enough hotels in Chiclayo to provide visitors with a good choice, and whilst this accommodation does tend to be rather basic, lodging is usually quite affordable, especially between December and March, which serves as the low season. However, during the period of major festivities, such as the Anniversary of the Founding of Chiclayo in April, increased demand can see hotel rates skyrocket.

Whilst hot water is fairly standard in most hotels, it is not always available 24-hours-a-day, and so you may wish to clarify the facilities at the time of booking. Do consider luxury accommodation in Chiclayo, since by Western standards, the rooms are often surprisingly inexpensive.

Where to Stay

The most desirable hotels are to be found in the very heart of Chiclayo, being just a stroll from the Plaza de Armas and the Mercado Central. This accommodation comes at all levels, with the Hostal la Luna on the Torres Paz being close by and especially popular. To the south of Chiclayo city centre, the Hotel Santa Victoria on La Florida is also cheap and enjoys views of the verdant Paseo de las Musas.

Mid-range lodging and accommodation options are easy to come by in Chiclayo and the fully air-conditioned Inca Hotel on the Luis Gonzales is a good modern choice, with windows stretching from the floor to ceiling. The centrally located Costa Del Sol on the Balta is part of an established hotel chain and comes complete with pool, Jacuzzi and sauna. On the Avenida Bolognesi, the Garza Hotel boasts a very notable restaurant, while for more in the way of luxury accommodation, consider staying at the very swanky Grand Hotel Chiclayo on the Avenida Federico Villareal, where over 125 guest rooms are spread over seven floors, and those with children will be pleased to find a playground area just down the road.
