Dancing the Night Away
This is a great country with great people. Always music playing and dancing at night. My wife and I took dance lessons at the club by our hotel then danced there at night.

Re. Choose Carefully
So, where did you stay so that we know? Can you recommend the best area?

Choose Carefully
The hotel's water was always cold though we pay for hot water. I think some places are not so clean. We enjoy the food at many places, but again sometimes our hotel food was so bland. We liked the city, but should stay somewhere else.

Old Meets New
Some of the beaches are not as nice as others and then they can be very crowded. The whole city has a very old school type of charm with interesting architecture and tones of color. It is the second largest city in Brazil, so there is a lot going on. We loved it!

Re. Charge for Pictures
It is a great place, but you need to keep your wits about. Lots of thieves and girls should not be out alone at night. The city can be a bit rough at times so it is not the best place to be roaming around at night wasted.

Charge for Pictures
Lots of people, some very poor. It is difficult to enjoy the treat culture, because you will always be asked for donations. Sometimes you must ask before you can take photo of performers and the ladies in culture dress - they will want money for the picture.

Always On
There are many clubs and places for music. We spent much time in the French Quartier for live jazz. It is a fun city and we like the nighttime very much.
