Manaus and Amazon Rainforest
Manaus is a main city in Amazon Rainforest. There, you can find transport to others small cities, travel to hotels in the jungle and others entertainment. There is an excellent regional food, with delicious fish. A great point is to see beautiful landscapes near Manaus, at Puraquequara Lake. I took some photos from there, and you can see at http://www.maxcohenphotography.com/f864875963

The world's biggest and best rainforest
I came to Manaus for access to the Amazon above all else. I'm an experienced trekker that has been all over Europe and Asia and saved up years to get over to Brazil. I was my own guide but maybe other people can be more specific on what tours are available. I wasn't disappointed when I finally got there and had a fantastic time - even staying with a tribe on one occasion. The photos I have of the tropical wildlife and environment will be with me forever.

Three things rolled into one
Our taxi driver advised us to visit the Museu do Seringal Vila Paraiso so we were just expecting a museum. We got more than what we bargained for though as it was also a historic walking area and scenic walking area too. Be sure to check the opening times though because we had to go more than once due to it being shut the first time.

A very Brazilian performance in a very Brazilian setting
I was flabbergasted when I was told that there was a theatre in the Amazon and even more surprised when I actually got to watch the performance. All the passion you would expect, full of Latin flavour, and in a serene environment. A great evening had by all.
