Picture showing the Contemporary Arts galleryVisitors to Dundee may not be overwhelmed by the selection of art galleries, although what is here is likely to be more than enough for most. On the ground floor of the University of Dundee Museum, the Tower Foyer Gallery is a particular highlight, while on the first floor, the Lamb Gallery provides further interest, as well as the temporary exhibitions within the foyer of the Baxter Conference Suite and in the River Rooms.

At the Contemporary Arts venue in the Nethergate area of Dundee are many striking modern paintings and frequent workshops. The city's municipal art museum, the McManus Galleries can be found within a glorious great Gothic Victorian mansion, spread over two floors and set in extensive grounds. Here you can enjoy lunchtime talks, hands-on fun, popular art classes and creative family activities.
