Mykonos Restaurants and Dining
(Mykonos, Cyclades, Greece)
When eating out at Mykonos restaurants, don't always assume that the highest prices mean the best quality. This is certainly not always the case and many excellent dining venues in Mykonos are actually quite inexpensive.
If you are holidaying on the island, then it would be verging on criminal not to taste the local Greek cuisine, which is really much more than just kebabs, although for a quick and easy snack, they are hard to beat. Always popular with holiday makers are Greek salads, which are often served with Feta cheese and dressed, of course, in olive oil.
When to Eat / Opening Hours
Mykonos Town (Hora) itself is where you will find the greatest selection of restaurants.
These eateries generally cater for most tastes, serving not only Greek food, but lots of seafood and Italian inspired dishes, such as pasta and freshly prepared pizzas.
Look for dining venues on the waterfront next to Taxi Square and the areas of Drakopoulou, Gerasimou, Kalogera, Mavrogenous and Tourlianis.
Also in Mykonos Town, many good restaurants and lively bars reside along Matogianni and Enoplon Dynameon, and within Venetia, the town's charming Little Venice quarter.
