Many of the best restaurants in Bonn can be found around the city centre, with good dining spots being located around the In der Sürst, Franziskanerstrasse, Münsterplatz, Rathausgasse, Stockenstrasse and also within the Markt area, close to the Old Town Hall.

Bonn's student district of Poppelsdorf is known for its cheap eats and inexpensive restaurants, which are never far from pubs, cocktail bars and other lively nightspots. For many, the fine dining within the huge district of Bad Godesberg area is hard to beat and here you while find restaurants serving Italian, Spanish and Greek dishes, amongst many others.

For lunch in Bonn, the numerous pubs and eateries within the Beuel area are the best bet, serving food that is both inexpensive and tasty. Other dining opportunities lies within the Südstadt area, which is located alongside Bonn city centre and has a definite young vibe. Full of history are the restaurants within the Old Town (Altstadt) district, where you can easily combine dining with sightseeing.
