The city's train station is located just a short stroll to the west of the Toomemägi, along the Vaksali Tänav. Tickets are available for purchase directly on the trains themselves and timetables can be found outside of the station. Each day, four trains travel to Tallinn (two and a half hours), while less frequent train transport also connects Estonian destinations such as Elva (50 minutes) and Valga (two hours).
