Weymouth Life and Visitor Travel Tips

(Weymouth, Dorset, England, UK)

Photo of the beach at WeymouthLife in the Weymouth area varies season to season, being strongly influenced by the weather. At its busiest during the summer months, both locals and tourists alike head to the beachfront at this time of the year, when Weymouth's numerous water sports are especially popular.

However, kite surfing around Portland Harbour is popular whatever the time of the year, and the gusty winter winds create ideal opportunities for this popular coastal sport. Weymouth has much more to offer than just its coastline and within the town itself, there is always plenty on offer.

Tourism and Tourist Information

The tourism office in central Weymouth is located along the Esplanade, next to the seafront, and is open seven days a week and features a popular bureau de change service. With local souvenirs, gift ideas and postcards for sale here, the centre is manned by a group of helpful staff, who are able to offer knowledgeable advice and make sure that you get the most out of your stay.

A fully networked and computerised accommodation booking service is also available at Weymouth's tourist office, either in person or over the telephone prior to your arrival. This has become known affectionately as the 'Book a Bed' service.
