Prague Ruzyne International Airport (PRG) Information

(Prague, Czech Republic)

The Prague Ruzyne Airport is a huge facility with four terminals. It handles more than 11 million passengers every year, many of whom arrive on city breaks for Prague's medieval glories, magnificent castle and buzzing nightlife. The airport is a hub for national flag carrier Czech Airlines and serves over 100 destinations worldwide via a series of major international full-service airlines, as well as budget carriers.

Civil aviation has an impressive history at the facility, which opened in 1937 and has since developed into a state-of-the-art air hub. A number of prestigious design and modernisation awards have been garnered by the airport as a result of its technical innovation and contemporary architecture. Nowadays, its convenient location in the central heart of Europe and its setting within a short drive of Prague are strong reasons for its continuing popularity.

Terminals 1 and 2 at the Prague Ruzyne Airport handle the majority of commercial traffic, with Terminals 3 and 4 managing VIP flights, general aviation and a handful of irregular flights. Onward ground transportation is by taxi, car or bus, with bus services linking to the Prague Metro.
