My day spent at Auckland Zoo
We came here and it was the perfect faimly day out - well probably as perfect and you could ever wish for. You certainly need more than a few hours to properly do this justice. Auckland zoo was very well laid out and we fell in love with the funny meerkats, and of course, those New Zealand kiwis.

Devonport and Mount Victoria
We caught the ferry from Quay Steet and headed towards Devonport - perfect for a budget cruise around the harbour! We walked from Devonport to Mount Victoria and enjoyed some fabulous views from the top, before stopping off on the way back for some good old fish and chips - our fish supper in New Zealand, oh, the fond memories...

Auckland Winter Gardens
The Winter Gardens comprise a couple of large greenhouse, one for tropical and exotic plants, the other for cooler, more temperate specimens. There werre also formal gardens here, lots of great big ferns and flowers. If you are looking for something to do without spending anything, consider an hour or two here - it's completely FREE!
