Historic Nagoya Castle
Nagoya Castle is a really magical Japanese castle and was built in between 1610 and 1612. However, durng the WWII, the castle was burnt down following an air raid and so the building that is there now is actually a rather good and very authentic looking reproduction. There are some cool samurai swords displayed inside which look like something out of a Quentin Tarantino movie. The views from the top of the castle are pleasant enough, but nothing to get too excited about.

Shopping at the 100 Yen Shops
Nagoya is typical of shops in Japan and has its fair share of modern 100 Yen shops, which are really the equivalent of Dollar Stores in the USA, or Pound Stretcher shops in the UK. However, the big different is that they are bigger and better - usually anyway. I found them extremely handy for buying a few cheap toiletries that I'd forgotten to pack, but they were I also managed to find some cheap and cheerful gifts. There was a really good 100 Yen Shop located in the Melsa building, which is directly opposite the Tiffany store. Check them out - you'll be surprised at how much you'll find inside, and how cheap it is. Some nice stuff.
