Southwestern Tennessee is easily reached by air and many direct routes are available, to and from Memphis International Airport. Located nearby, this facility now welcomes almost one million monthly passengers and contains excellent amenities, such as duty free stores and public transit companies.

Memphis Airport stands just 8 miles / 12 km from the city center and each day, caters for thousands of passengers. Terminals
Memphis Airport contains three terminal buildings, which in turn connect Concourses A, B and C.
- Terminal A - domestic and international airlines, 23 gates numbered A1 to A33
- Terminal B - domestic and international airlines, 43 gates numbered B1 to B44
- Terminal C - quiet terminal, serving domestic airlines, 18 gates numbered C1 to C22

Cars
Driving from Memphis Airport into the downtown district is quite straightforward and well signposted. Major roads close to the airport include Interstate I-240 and the Plough Boulevard. Of note, the journey should last around 20 to 25 minutes, as long as traffic levels are reasonable.
Those returning their hire vehicle should take the I-55 south, join the I-240 east and then head along the Airways Boulevard, before turning onto Democrat Road and Rental Car Road.
Buses
Public buses are operated by the Memphis Area Transit Authority (MATA) and travel at regular times from outside of the airport's Terminal C building. A number of hotel shuttles are also to hand, waiting for guests outside of the luggage reclaim area. Further shuttle services are provided by Bettie Bus, Last Minute Transportation, Premier, Tennco Transportation and Unique Travel.
Taxis
Taxis are easy to locate and tend to gather outside of Terminal B's luggage reclaim area, with taxi coordinators being available from 05:30 until the final flight. Fares are calculated on a metered basis, unless a price has been agreed in advance. Of note, wheelchair users will find adapted taxis operated by the Yellow Cab Company.
Limousines
Limousines can be hired per hour or per day and provide a stylish way to reach central Memphis or nearby districts. Operated by First Class, Premier, SFAX, Tennessee Limos and T-Star, these limousine services can either be booked in advance or directly at the airport, where they will wait for their passengers on the Lower Drive.
