Close to downtown Lancaster are a number of appealing golf courses, meaning that you won't have to travel far from your hotel to play a round, wherever you are staying. The Meadia Heights Golf Club is the most centrally located of all the local courses and stands just a short distance to the south of the city center, between Buchmiller Park and Central Park.

Sited to the west of central Lancaster, sandwiched in-between the Martin Greider Park and the Manor Township Community Park, is the Conestoga Country Club. This course is best reached by taking the West Columbia Avenue (PA-462) and then turning onto Stone Mill Road. To the northeast and connected by East Walnut Street, the Lancaster Country Club is one of Pennsylvania's oldest private golf courses and dates all the way back to 1900. Golfers playing here can expect 33 holes, a swimming pool, tennis courts and a recently refurbished clubhouse, complete with alfresco terrace dining.
