Located to the northwest of Lancaster, Hershey Park is a big draw in the region and features a collection of fun attractions, such as rollercoaster rides and water slides. Best visited in the summer months, Hershey Park is great for the whole family and comes with changing rooms and lockers.

Amish Farm and House

The Amish Farm and House is a must-see attraction in Lancaster, for anyone wanting to learn about the Amish way of life. The farm is set on a lovely 25-acre / 10-hectare site and tours take in the house and farmyard, where a collection of farm buildings and animals are on show.

James Buchanan's Wheatland

James Buchanan was Pennsylvania's only president and those who wish to find out more information about his life while in Lancaster should visit the beautiful Wheatland property, located just outside the city. The site features the mansion, various outbuildings and beautifully landscaped gardens, with tours starting at the Carriage House Visitors Center. Attractions include the smokehouse and privy, and the Victorian herb garden. There are also a couple of museum shops on site.

Zoo America

Located just across the walking bridge from Hershey Park, Zoo America features five regions of America with more than 200 animals representing numerous species. The zoo covers 11 acres / 4 hectares and offers a number of interesting attractions, including a popular gift shop.
