Durham Sarah Duke Gardens
The Sarah Duke Gardens are one of the main attractions here and part of the campus of the Duke University. They cover something like 50 acres and are divided into a number of different parts, such as a woodland area, flower gardens and trails around a big lake. It is definitely one of America's finest public gardens and is on the Duke University Road. Lots of sign posts.

The Historic Carolina Theater
The historic Carolina Theater of Durham is on West Morgan Street and is both a stage and screen. Lots of regular movies are screened here, along with concerts and other similar shows. The building itself has a beautiful exterior.
