Those after views of the city would do well to visit Buffalo's City Hall, which opened in 1931 and boasts an observation deck on the 28th floor, providing outstanding glimpses of the city and Lake Erie. It is also worth spending some time ogling the building's finer points, including its many statues and carvings.

St. Paul's Episcopal Cathedral

Located in Buffalo's downtown district, St. Paul's Episcopal Cathedral is one of the city's most historic buildings and was originally built in the mid-19th century, and then rebuilt 40 years later after fire damage. Highlights include impressive architecture, many period details, a parkland setting and regular church services.

Theodore Roosevelt National Historic Site

The world-famous Theodore Roosevelt National Historic Site appeals to history buffs visiting Buffalo city and can be found in the Aynsley Wilcox House on Delaware Avenue. The museum is dedicated to the emergency swearing in of Roosevelt, who arrived in Buffalo following the earlier assassination of President William McKinley. Attractions include a reconstructed library, Roosevelt memorabilia and a number of other presidential related exhibits.
