Darwin D. Martin House

Designed by the genius architect Frank Lloyd Wright, the Darwin D. Martin House is a Prairie-style home built in the early 1900s. The horizontal profile of the structure is fetching, while inside Wright has made clever use of the space. Tours run throughout the day.

Graycliff

Set on a lofty cliff overlooking Lake Erie, Graycliff is another marvelous example of Frank Lloyd Wright's work. Built for the wealthy and influential client Darwin D. Martin, it is a later structure than his earlier home, named after himself. The two-storey summer house sits amid 8 acres / 3 hectares of lovely landscaped grounds, while the house itself features a collection of large windows and airy spaces.

Niagara Falls

Most people visit Buffalo for the purpose of seeing the Niagara Falls, a must-see attraction and one of the world's most awesome sights. There are two main sets of falls, the popular Canadian Horseshoe Falls and the straight American Falls, both of which are amazing. Walkways allow visitors to get right up-close to the falls or you can take the famed 'Maid of the Mist' boat tour to the foot of both falls. In addition, the Canadian side has many other attractions, such as the bustling casino and heaps of good restaurants.

Rock City

Located to the south of Buffalo on Route 16, Rock City has an abundance of quartz, with huge rocks climbing several storeys in height. Once used by Native Americans as natural protection, the rocks offer delightful walking and clambering, and are home to many species of wildflower.

Buffalo Zoological Gardens

The Buffalo Zoological Gardens are well-known for being one of America's oldest and most loved zoos and date back to 1875. With more than 1000 different animal species living in natural habitats, other attractions at the zoo include landscaped gardens, feeding demonstrations and train rides. Buffalo Zoological Gardens are located in Delaware Park and cover more than 20 acres / 8 hectares.
