Concord Art Galleries

There is a handful of successful commercial galleries distributed around downtown Concord, where you can both browse and purchase the art works on display.

Close to the Red River Theatres complex, the Cornerstone Community Church and the Capitol Shopping Center, McGowan Fine Art is worth keeping an eye out for and is certainly well-placed in Concord for shoppers and passing trade.

Also located alongside a number of downtown shopping attractions and just down the road from McGowan Fine Art is the Concord Retail Gallery, where a mixture of traditional and modern art awaits visitors.

The Mill Brook Gallery and Sculpture Garden lies on the western outskirts of the city's boundaries, where it was established in 1996. Being best reached by following Pleasant Street, which leads onto the Franklin Pierce Highway (US-202), Mill Brook is very much a retail gallery, with all of the pieces on exhibit within the three exhibition spaces being offered for sale.

This exhibition venue is affiliated to the Concord League of New Hampshire Craftsmen and actively works to promote the creations of regional artists living in the state of New Hampshire. Highlights here include changing temporary exhibitions, craftmaking workshops and art masterclasses suiting the more experienced of artist.

McGowan Fine Art

This gallery came into being in the early years of the 1980s and specializes in the creations of artists from all over New England. A custom framing service is also available at McGowan Fine Art, along with consultancy and conservation / restoration services, for those in need of assistance in these areas.

Mill Brook Gallery and Sculpture Garden

The Mill Brook Gallery and Sculpture Garden is home to various paintings, sculptures and ceramics created by artists from New Hampshire, as well as some wooden ornaments and handmade jewelry. The outdoor space is a particularly pleasant spot on a sunny afternoon, combining landscaped gardens with ponds, sculptures and woodlands with nature trails and fields.
