Guided hikes through the Rocky Mountain National Park are not to be missed under any circces and with more than 350 miles / 563 of hiking trails, you can easily spend many days exploring the area and enjoying its peaceful solitude. If you join one of these hikes you will be led by experienced guided from Estes Park, who are very familiar with the surrounding wilderness and all of the attractions that the Rockies have to offer tourists. You are quite likely to encounter some Colorado wildlife as you hike, with glimpses of bears, beavers, elks, mountain lions, mule deer and native bighorn sheep being fairly commonplace, if you are quiet and keep your eyes peeled.

This tramway begins in Estes Valley and transports passengers to the very scenic summit of the Prospect Mountain, offering awesome views along the way that will likely take your breath away. At the very top there is an observation deck, overlooking distant attractions around the Rocky Mountains, such as the Continental Divide, Longs Peak and also the glistening Lake Estes below. The Estes Park Aerial Tramway first opened as long ago as 1955 and since that time it has transported in excess of three million people.

Very much a family attraction, the Fun City dates back more than 30 years and lies on the southern side of Elkhorn Avenue, next to Highway 36. There are no less than two beautifully landscaped 18-hole miniature golf courses within Fun City, along with a huge wavy slide and helter skelter, a racing track with go-karts, video arcade games and a handy snack bar. The backdrop of the Rocky Mountains is worth coming to see alone, so do bring your camera.

The climatic conditions of Colorado are favored by a number of historic wineries, who have chosen to base themselves around Estes Park, to take full advantage of the Colorado wines produced close by. Many of the local Colorado wines have won countless awards and deserve to be tasted. Both the Snowy Peaks Winery and the Valley of the Wind Winery are amongst the town's best wineries and regularly welcome visitors, who come here for wine tastings and guided tours of the facilities, whilst enjoying the views of the neighboring Rockies.
