Flagstaff offers a choice of golf courses, both private and public. Located on the easterly outskirts and close to Humphrey Lake, the Aspen Valley Golf Club is a traditional championship course, taking full advantage of its backdrop of mountains and mature ponderosa pines.

Formerly known as the Elden Hills Golf Club, the Continental Country Club lies a little further to the east of downtown Flagstaff, where it comes with narrow fairways lined with mature trees and picturesque scenery. Golfing fees here are fairly expensive, while the onsite pro shop is certainly well-stocked with equipment. The adjacent Coconino Country Club may also be of interest, if you want to make a day of it.

The Aspen Valley Golf Club is a private, 18-hole course with undulating greens, scenic views, sand bunkers and water hazards on some holes. Dating back to 1973, it has fairly inexpensive golfing fees.

Forest Highlands Golf Club

The Forest Highlands Golf Club features two 18-hole championship golf courses - the Meadow Course and the Canyon Course. Offering excellent facilities, impressive water hazards, breathtaking views and fairways lined with mature trees, the Forest Highlands Club dates back to 1988. Golfing fees are considered to be fairly expensive.

Coconino and Continental Country Clubs

Both the adjoining Coconino Country Club and the Continental Country Club were established in the 1960s and stand on the eastern side of the city center, close to the Peaceful Valley Memorial Park. Discounts are offered for those who own a membership card, with afternoon (after 13:00) and twilight (after 16:00) rates being applicable for the 18 holes and nine holes.
