Re. Wish there was time to see it all!
Did you try that IMAX Victoria while inside the Royal BC Museum? Slightly different but you may also enjoy Craigdarroch Castle if you like the history of our province. It's easy to find just three and a half miles from the town centre and is, in my opinion, the prettiest building in Victoria that has plenty of history.

Wish there was time to see it all!
Unfortunately a full day wasn't enough for us to see all that the Royal BC Museum had to offer but because of what we have enjoyed already, we will definitely be back to finish it off next time we're in western Canada. Learn everything about the human history and natural history of this great province.

Re. Barefoot in the park
You may also like the Inner Harbour, which is obviously water-based mostly but is perfect for taking a stroll around with a lot more restaurants and cafes than you would find in Beacon Hill Park.

Barefoot in the park
As a World War II buff, although that event happened some fifteen years before, I wished to head to Beacon Hill Park so that I could see the tree that was planted here by Winston Churchill way back in 1929. I also had a lovely walk and enjoyed the petting zoo as well as the Waterfront. Open to suggestions on similar activities around the city.

Great fun but not for the squeamish
I know that insects and spiders have a Marmite effect on people, in that they either love them or hate them, but I have to recommend the Victoria Bug Zoo to anyone that isn't phased by such creatures or can overcome their fears for an afternoon. Much better than Butterfly World, in my humble opinion!
