Re. An experienced that only comes once in a lifetime
There's also a great library that you can enjoy. They have books in Portuguese of course but there are some in English and other languages, such as Spanish.

Re. My favourite Brazilian beach
For your reference, the sports are tennis, volleyball, and football. You might have also seen the equipment that you can do gym exercises on such as weight training.

An experience that only comes once in a lifetime
I advise that history lovers head to Recife's most loved attraction - the Instituto Ricardo Brennand. There is an art gallery, museum, and park on the premises, meaning that there is something for everyone and this is regarded as a must-visit by thousands that have visited before.

My favourite Brazilian beach
I went to beaches in towns and cities all over Brazil during my six months there - would have stayed longer if it weren't for the visa situation - and my favourite without doubt was Boa Viagem. Not too crowded but still plenty of life and wonderful, friendly people hanging around. Wasn't clear what type of sports could be played there but there is also a garden with palms and trees.

From zero to hero
You must visit Marco Zero in Recife, which is where a lot of meetings are held and fun events such as the carnival. This is the old part of town so there are lot of colonial buildings that the Portuguese made, plus restaurants of all budgets that are some of the most highly-regarded in this part of the country. Plenty of shopping too.
