Where to Stay

The Park Lodge is another favourite at the top end, with a residential location and lovely 19th-century Italian architecture. Just ten rooms are available in the mansion, ensuring a level of intimacy balanced by the privacy of a larger hotel.

In addition to its hotels, Stirling boasts a fantastic selection of historic bed and breakfasts (B&Bs). If you don't mind a little less anonymity, these inns combine ambience with friendly welcoming hosts.

Other excellent inns to consider in Stirling include the Burns View Guest House, the Cressington B&B and the Munro Guest House, all of which are right in the heart of the historic downtown. Even the more modern Holiday Inn Express Stirling at the outlying Springkerse Business Park is a notch above average chain hotels, featuring sensibly priced accommodation, great views and a conveniently location.
