Where to Shop

Mainstream shopping in Rotterdam is at its best along the Lijnbaan, a popular pedestrianised arcade lined with an interesting assortment of shops. One of the newest shopping strips to arrive in Rotterdam is known as the Beurstraverse, which stretches between the Lijnbaan and the Hoogstraat, and close to the Coolsingel.

Coffee shops and familiar chain stores stand alongside each other on the Nieuwe Binnenweg, a lively part of Rotterdam also known for its nightlife. Just a stone's throw to the south of the Centraal Station, the West Kruiskade is a great spot for some serious food shopping and contains a number of grocery stores. For vintage clothing, check out the outlets on the Meent.
