King John's Castle
The 'lord of Irelands' majestic castle is definitely worth seeing when visiting Limerick. A historical exhibition successfully documents over 800 years of history. The era is well recreated, making for a great atmosphere - one of the highlights of Limerick.

Route 69
Forget the infamous American hipster trail of route 66, Limerick has its own. Route N69 is a stunning, winding drive, stretching from Limerick to Co. Kerry. There is so much to see on the way, especially the riverside villages of Loughil, Glin and Foynes; true majestic Irish countryside.

Angela's Ashes
Limerick, to me, conjures up memories of Frank Mc Court's depiction of gritty Irish life from his famous novel; Angela's Ashes. Not the best way to think of Limerick but a literary gem all the same. It is definitely worth a visit to the Museum which show cases memorabilia of Mc Court.

St. Patrick's Day
Every year I celebrate St. Patrick's day with copious amounts of Guinness, green beer and roundness wherever I am in the world, but as expected, nothing does it better than the place itself; Ireland. Last year I found myself in Limerick; part of an epic parade through the streets. The place came alive, bustling with music, colour and cheer! I will be returning next year. Undoubtedly, celebrating in any other country from now on will just seem inferior.

Art Space
Ireland is a great place for artists. I have traveled all over, finding the best galleries and art spaces and it is this little place in Limerick which sticks in my mind; The Leamy Art Gallery. There are also book launches held here and there place has a very educational ethos to it.
