Re. You smell like the brewery
Not sure if you just like beer or have a taste for whiskey too? Next time, you and your men should leave the ladies back at the hotel so that you can attend the Irish Whiskey Tasting Event.

You smell like the brewery
This time I had an excuse when I returned to my wife in our hotel room and she told me I smelled 'like the brewery'. I'd been to Kilkenny's St. Francis Abbey, less than half a mile from the town centre, with the rest of the men in our group. This comes highly-recommended and I enjoyed it more than the Guinness brewery in Dublin.

Re. Essential
Did you visit the Black Abbey too Mrs. McFadden? I think you'd like it as it is also quite medieval and it is as easy to get to as St. Canice's Cathedral and Round Tower. Some have called it 'just an old church', but I beg to differ.

Essential
My husband and I were interested in the Medieval part of Kilkenny's history, which made a visit to St. Canice's Cathedral and Round Tower essential. It was easy to find and the cathedral is a lovely building despite its brooding nature. Great views of Kilkenny too.

Great for a sunny day
It rained almost every day we were in Ireland, but on the one sunny day we did have in Kilkenny, fun times were had at the Catslecomer Discovery Park. There was enough to keep the children entertained and my elderly parents enjoyed a bit of time to themselves just strolling around the grounds.
