Belfast Hotels and Accommodation

(Belfast, Northern Ireland, UK)

A major tourist destination in Northern Ireland, the city of Belfast contains plenty of reliable hotels to choose from. Accommodation in Belfast is quite affordable, with much of the city's lodging being within easy walking distance of central attractions.

Particularly cheap and conveniently located within the city centre is the Jurys Inn on Fisherwick Place, which stands just minutes away from the Grand Opera House on Great Victoria Street. Close by and still very affordable is the recently renovated Travelodge Belfast Centre on Brunswick Street - near to a large multi-storey NCP car park. Just a stroll to the south is the Days Hotel on Hope Street, which is well-placed for exploring all that the city has to offer.

Where to Stay

This is a large and vibrant city, remaining busy all through the year, meaning that booking ahead is strongly recommended. Nearly all of the city's budget hotels are located close to Queen's University, to the south of central Belfast.

If you are looking for accommodation close to Belfast International Airport (BFS), then several hotels are worth considering. Particularly close by is the Park Plaza, which is simply a matter of metres from the main terminal building. Located on Holywood Road, the Park Avenue Hotel is only a short drive from the smaller George Best Belfast City Airport (BHD), which lies alongside the city's port, on the easterly outskirts of the city centre.

Those who favour chain lodging will find plenty of familiar accommodation brands in Belfast, all of which are quite competitive when it comes to pricing. Falling in the mid-range category is the Best Western Wellington Park on Malone Road, the Holiday Inn on Ormeau Avenue, the Ibis Queens Quarter on University Street, the Radisson Blu on Cromac Place, and the Ramada Encore on Talbot Street - which is near to both Belfast Cathedral and the University of Ulster campus.

Situated right next to the Waterfront Hall and on Lanyon Place, the five-star Hilton Belfast Hotel offers sumptuous luxury accommodation overlooking the Lagan River, and is known for its upmarket Cables Bar and Sonoma Restaurant.
