The Magnificent Hallgrimskirkja Church
I was blown away when I saw the Hallgrimskirkja Church. It is the tallest structure in Reykjavik and dominates the city. Its steeple is over 70 metres tall! You wouldn't exactly call it beautiful or anything, and it is quite modern, but it sure is impressive and you can see its steeple for miles and miles - really you can. If you want to experience some of the very best views of Reykjavik possible, catch the lift and go to the very top of the steeple, and don't forget your camera, because if you're anything like me, you'll want to take photograph after photograph of the view.

Lake Tjornin in central Reykjavik
How lovely it was to find this lake in the middle of the city. We spent an hour just sitting by the Lake Tjornin and chilling out. It is near to the City Hall. Lots of people were feeding the ducks and just taking it easy like us.

History at the National Museum of Iceland
This has got to be one of the most important museums in Reykjavik, because it contains so much information about the history and heritage of Iceland. Come here and learn more about the Vikings.

The pretty Tjornin Lake
Tjornin Lake is in the very centre of the Old Town and is a really popular place. It is historically important since it is here where Reykjavik was born when the Vikings arrived and started to settle in this part of Iceland. We were lucky enough to catch a summer concert. It was very busy that day! Fun though. I didn't want the day to end. Might try and go back again next year as I liked it so much.
