The Beeston Fields Golf Club stands off the A52 Derby Road and is amongst the area's most popular golf courses. With 18 holes, a yardage of just over 6,400 and a useful practice area, this golf course features many naturally landscaped areas and mature planting pockets. A particularly historic and friendly club, the course dates back to the early 1920s and boasts a secluded setting and appealing views, away from the city centre.

Cotgrave Place Golf and Country Club

With two separate 18-hole golf courses, together with nine-bay floodlit driving range, the Cotgrave Place Golf and Country Club is sited on the eastern side of the city, next to the A52. Course one is known as the 'Open Course' and has a yardage of 6,300 and a golf par of 7. Course two is the Masters Course and at 5,900 yards, is noticeably shorter, and features a golf par of 69. Discounts are available for twilight golf. Other highlights include vast conference capabilities, buggy hire and a large clubhouse with restaurant, where Sunday information lunches are particularly popular.

Situated approximately 6 km / 4 miles from the city centre, the Chilwell Manor Golf Club lies off the busy Nottingham to Birmingham road and comprises 18 holes, trolley hire and a professional golfing shop selling a range of equipment. Golfing lessons are also available at the course and visitors' green fees are moderately priced, being reduced when playing with a member and also during the winter months.

Nottingham City Golf Club

Located on the north-western side of the city, just a short drive from the centre, the Nottingham City Golf Club can be reached along the A6002, which leads to Low Wood Road. Around 6,200 yards in total, the course features a golf par of 70, a separate practice area, wide and spacious fairways, and extremely inexpensive green fees.

The club features an 18-hole course (Admirals Course) with a yardage of 6,600 and a further 9-hole course (Commanders Course) with similar yardage. With an attractive parkland setting and a number of challenging holes and water hazards, the Ruddington Grange Golf Club lies on the southern side of Nottingham, close to both Ruddington and Clifton, off the A52 (Clifton Boulevard). Suiting golfers are all abilities, the course features 18 holes, a yardage of approximately 6,500 and reasonably priced green fees, which are at their cheapest during the week. A restaurant is also available on-site.

With a yardage of almost 6,500 and a golf par of 71, the course features 18 holes, two separate practice areas and also a popular pitch and putt course, with nine holes. Highlights include numerous mature trees, woodland areas and a host of wildlife, including native herds of both fallow deer and red deer.
