Original Ghost Walk

Founded in 1993, the Original Ghost Walk takes you around many of the city's oldest parts, close to Nottingham Castle and leading you to many haunted and spooky places. Starting out from Ye Olde Salutation Inn, the tour lasts just over one hour and ends at the ghostly caves beneath the inn.

Built at a cost of more than £40 million, the spectacular National Ice Centre and Nottingham Arena has become one of the country's leading venues of its kind and can be found in the aptly named Bolero Square. Boasting two enormous, Olympic-size rinks and also good conference capabilities, the National Ice Centre opens daily for public use. Ice skating lessons are available here, together with skate hire and refreshments. One of the centre's ice rinks is often covered over, becoming a huge venue for concerts, with a capacity of approximately 10,000 people.

Broadway Cinema and Media Centre

Housed in a particularly stylish, contemporary building, the Broadway Cinema and Media Centre stands in the very centre of the Hockley area and features two main auditoriums, many individual meeting rooms, and a packed calendar of events, including concerts, exhibitions, dancing, screenings of independent films and more.

Greenwood Bonsai Nursery

Suiting those with a taste for the orient and the attractions of Japanese gardening, Greenwood Bonsai Nursery is located in the nearby town of Arnold, in the city's north-eastern suburbs. Set in more than 12 acres / 5 hectares of scenic countryside, the nursery is owned and managed by famous bonsai artist Harry Tomlinson and features a range of small trees for sale, at varying levels of quality. Many trees have been imported directly from Japan, together with plenty of accessories, including many pots and tools.

The Nottingham Cornerhouse is a major multi-screen cinema complex and entertainment venue, featuring bars, top restaurants, an arcade with state-of-the-art computer games, nightclubs, a health and beauty section, and also several small shops. A great place to come in the evenings, there is always something to see or do here, with the recently opened Nottingham Circus Casino being a particular highlight, featuring an extensive selection of gaming tables, poker competitions and slots lounge.
