Seasonal Climate Variations / When to Go

Anytime between June and August is possibly the very best time to enjoy the attractions of Ghent. The weather is sunny and warm, and the Belgian beer is definitely flowing. July and August tend feature the hottest climate and it is not uncommon for daytime temperatures to top 25°C / 77°F.

Each July, look out for the Gentse Feesten, when the residents of Ghent party well into the early hours of the morning and bars remain open until extremely late, with some not even closing at all.
