Da Nang Hotels and Accommodation

Due to its commercial importance, there is no shortage of hotels, other accommodation and lodging options in Da Nang. The city is still known as the most friendly backpacker destination in the whole of Vietnam, and supports this reputation with a plethora of budget lodging options run by welcoming locals.

At the high end of the accommodation sector are a number of four- and five-star resorts in designated tourist zones, scattered around the edges of the city and in the countryside. Accommodation in these mainly beachside locations ranges from modern multi-storey hotels, to traditional thatched wooden houses set amongst lush greenery with beautiful views. For mid-range lodging options, Da Nang's industrial and commercial base provides a vast range of comfortable hotels at reasonable prices.

Where to Stay

If you are planning on upscale luxury in Da Nang, then your ultimate destination is the Furuma Danang Resort. This popular gem of a resort has it all, and is only a short trip from the city's international airport. Set on its own beach, the resort boasts two swimming pools, a health spa, water and land sports facilities, and everything else you would expect or need.

For the less well-heeled, excellent deals can be had at several army-run hotels, such as My Khe Beach Hotels 1 and 2. Five minutes or so from downtown Da Nang, these are popular with both business travellers and tourists for their pleasant ambience, good facilities and friendly staff.

Much accommodation in all ranges is set along or just back from the city's beaches. The brand-new five-star Golden Sea Hotel near the famous China Beach boasts a high standard of accommodation and helpful staff, and comes at a very reasonable price. In the city centre is a choice of mid-range hotels such as the Phuong Dong Orient, convenient for taxis and nightlife. The Bamboo Green Central lies right on the river, and another good choice at mid-range is the Royal Hotel.

Budget lodging options are all around the city and along its beaches. Two popular choices are Hoa's Guesthouse and Ngoi's Guesthouse, both of which are to be found fronting China Beach. Home cooking, comfortable rooms and friendly people make lodging at this level a much more enjoyable Vietnamese experience than ever possible in luxury accommodation.
