Can Tho Hotels and Accommodation

Most of Can Tho's best hotels are right in the city centre, to the south and along the riverside near Ninh Kieu Park. There is a decent range of accommodation here and the best thing is that most attractions are within walking distance wherever you stay.

Can Tho hotels go from cheap, scruffy places that backpackers would aim for, to four-star luxury. Even the budget accommodation is generally clean, though, and you pay by the room, not per person. Prices for lodging in Can Tho are in line with Ho Chi Minh City, if a little cheaper.

Where to Stay

The Ninh Kieu pier and park area have a good choice of hotels, as well as the top end of Hoa Binh street, and the nearby Nguyen Trai area. There are also good Can Tho hotels to the south of the city centre and all along the riverfront to the north and south of Ninh Kieu Park.

Popular accommodation choices include the KS Tay Ho at Ninh Kieu pier and the nearby International Hotel - at about double the price. There are also bed and breakfasts (B&Bs) in town for the budget-conscious, with the Nature Mekong near the Cai Rang floating market among the better ones.

You won't need to pay much to get a Can Tho hotel with en-suite, air conditioning and wireless Internet, as even the standard places have fair facilities. It is always worth checking the room first and enquiring whether the Internet is free, however.

Be aware that hotels in Vietnam must log your passport details by law, but be sure to take back your passport. Some will want to hold onto them as security, but this is no good for the tourist. If they won't relent, ask about paying for your accommodation upfront.
