Re. Peaceful Beach
Ah, Balok is great isn't it? It is not main beach though actually for us because Teluk Chempedak and Beserah are closer with 5kms and 7kms respective! If you want to enjoying windsurfing though, Balok is definitely pick of the bunch!

Peaceful Beach
I wrongfully thought that the main beach of Pahang state's capital would be heaving but that couldn't have been further from the truth. Maybe I just got lucky on the right day but I had most of Balok Beach to myself while enjoying a lovely afternoon there.

Amazing Tin Mine
As my father worked at the pit for decades when I was younger, I've always had an interest in the plight of the average miner - which is why I just had to visit Sungai Lembing town. It is a little far out of Kuantan at 40kms but enthusiasts won't be disappointed after time spent at the planet's largest underground tin mine.

Lovely Island with a Great Story Behind It
I would've still visited Pulau Ular without knowing what it is name meant. When I arrived there though and started to learn a little more about the place, I came to know how this quaint island got its name while learning more about a history that stems back to the 11th century.

Mini Zoo
Taman Teruntum took up the afternoon we set aside for it and had nether too much nor too little for us to enjoy. Easy to find next to Kuantan's golf course if driving but otherwise taxi drivers will know exactly what you're on about.
