Pantai Base Beach
To get to the beach you have to go to Pantai Base. You can take a bus for a small fee and they will bring you back as well. It was alright. All of Indonesia was beyond what we expected it to be anyway. I think Bali was the best for the beaches though they were a tad crowded with tourists.

Fish For One
I had to stay on business and I can also recommend the Swiss-Belhotel - very convenient. Not to much nightlife, but the local seafood BBQ and a bottle of cold beer will make the night perfect anyway.

War and Culture
If you're looking for a little bit of history, then you will want to go to he World War 2 Museum. All in all pretty interesting.

Posh Hotel in Simple Surroundings
I stayed at the Swiss-Belhotel Papua. Felt a bit guilty being there really, but it was a very nice place. Beds were cozy and the breakfast quite good. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a little extra comfort on their holiday.

Re. Lake Sentani Village People Are So Traditional
Did you go through agency to get there or go on your own? We are thinking about going through Footprint Adventures. I would prefer to do it on our own, but I hear that's not that best idea in this country.

Lake Sentani Village People Are So Traditional
Lake Sentani was something a little different. I don't think I would go back to Papau otherwise. Not much to see or going on - just normal life, but boring for the tourist.
