The newest trend in accommodation development on Mauritius is the villa concept. These luxurious options are at the very top of the scale in all categories, but if you are prepared to spend on your lodging you will find a large selection of extremely appealing properties. Boutique hotels are also making a showing in Port Louis and around the island. While still not cheap, they are amongst the more moderately priced rooms on Mauritius.
