Bismarck Hotels and Accommodation

(Bismarck, North Dakota - ND, USA)

There is certainly plenty of choice when it comes to accommodation in Bismarck, with many hotels being dotted all over the city, often being within comfortable walking distance of local attractions.

Residing on the southern side of downtown Bismarck is a noticeable cluster of hotels, offering well-priced accommodation conveniently close to the Kirkwood Plaza Shopping Center and the busy Bismarck Expressway (Interstate I-194). Popular lodging choices here include both the Best Western Plus Ramkota on South 3rd Street and the Fairfield Inn on Ivy Avenue.

Slightly more central is the Radisson Hotel on East Broadway Avenue, roughly nine blocks to the south of the North Dakota State Capitol Grounds.

Where to Stay

If you are planning a visit to Bismarck on a tight budget, then the best place to look for hotels is just off junction 159 of Interstate I-94 (south), around State Street. Accommodation in this part of Bismarck is particularly plentiful and comes in the form of the Days Inn on East Capitol Avenue, the AmericInn Lodge and Suites on State Street, and both the Kelly Inn Bismarck and La Quinta Inn on North 12th Street.

On the northern side of the I-94, you can choose between hotels such as the Comfort Inn on East Interstate Avenue, the Country Inn and Suites on North 14th Street, and the Holiday Inn Express Hotel on North 15th Street, the latter of which is within walking distance of the Sunset Memorial Garden.

A popular alternative to mainstream hotels and accommodation is the camping site at the General Sibley Park. Situated on the far southern side of Bismarck (on South Washington Street), the campsite can accommodate around 150 tents and more than 100 RVs (recreational vehicles). Nearby, you will find the Missouri River and the Sibley Nature Park, as well as the campus of the University of Mary.
