Hull Humberside Airport (HUY) Information
(Kingston Upon Hull, East Riding of Yorkshire, England, UK)
Operated by the Manchester Airport Group, the Humberside Airport is a small international gateway in the Yorkshire region of northern England. It is renowned for its efficiency, even though it only processes some 275,000 passengers a year. The relatively low passenger numbers are a result of the high competition for air traffic in the area, as the
East Midlands Airport, the Robin Hood Airport Doncaster Sheffield and
Leeds Bradford International are all within an hour's drive of Humberside.
Hull is situated just to the north of the facility, while several other townships including Grimsby and Scunthorpe reside close by. There is only one terminal within the complex, which predominantly serves seasonal flights to international destinations.
Flights to the
Netherlands are served by KLM. There are also international flights to cities in
Turkey,
Spain,
Greece and Bulgaria. Eastern Airways, Aegean Airlines, Thomas Cook Airlines and Pegasus Airlines all operate services at Humberside Airport.
