Marina pictureThe climate in Abu Dhabi ranges from pleasantly warm to extremely hot. Scorching weather in July and August result in temperatures quickly climbing to more than 40°C / 104°F, falling only slightly during September and October.

Therefore, many holiday makers heading to Abu Dhabi choose to vacation anytime between November and February, when the climate is at its most appealing, the weather is sunny and the skies are blue. However, although this is a good time to visit Abu Dhabi, do expect period of dense fog on occasion, while between April and September, intermittent sandstorms are not uncommon.

Seasonal Climate Variations / When to Go

October, March and also April tend to be the best months for those looking to frequent the beaches and enjoy the plentiful sunshine.

If you do visit Abu Dhabi during the hottest climate, then you will appreciate having a fully air-conditioned hotel room. To make the most of your time, visit sights early in the morning or later in the evening, and spend your time in cool restaurants and shopping malls in the height of the day.

December, January and February tend to see the coolest weather in Abu Dhabi, although by day, temperatures don't seem to stray too far from 22°C / 72°F or 23°C / 73°F. Some days do experience a cool breeze, which will mean that a jacket or pullover will be necessary, especially during the evenings.
