Uganda Maps and Orientation

(Uganda, UG, East Africa)

Located just to the east of central Africa, Uganda is a landlocked country bounded by Sudan (north), Kenya (east), Tanzania (south), Rwanda (south) and the Democratic Republic of the Congo (west). Ethiopia lies to the far north-east, while the Central Africa Republic is to the north-west.

Uganda's southern border also includes a sizeable part of Lake Victoria's shoreline, which is shared with both Tanzania and Kenya.

Located on the southerly side of the country, Kampala serves as the capital and is actually Uganda's only actual 'city' as such. Nearby, the town of Entebbe is roughly an hour away and is where you will find the country's busy international airport, along with access to Lake Victoria, the Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Sanctuary and the Ssese Islands.
