A Charming Town with Perfect Sunsets
We found some adequate family accommodations at the Country Garden Inns. The breakfast buffet was suitable for everyone and had a small playground for the little ones. It was a smite out of the way, but we enjoyed the scenery during the long drives.

Best Stretch of Coastline in the USA
I absolutely adore the Pacific! I was worried Carmel was going to be so expensive, but we found some decent hotel rooms at the Comfort Inn. The drive along the PCH, whether your coming from the North or South, is also one for the best in the entire country - if you don't own - then rent a car.

Great People - Great Place
We always find Americans to be some of the friendliest people - Carmel Valley was no exception. We met some lovely people on our drive along the coast, at the golf club and at the nearby wine bar. Very enjoyable.

Relaxing and Most Enjoyable
It was necessary to rent a car, but it was such a worthwhile drive around Carmel that we didn't mind. We rented a car at the airport in Los Angeles and then drove along the coast. We took a day longer than planned to reach our hotel because of the varied stops - the view of the rock and oceans were more than we could handle at times. One of the best trips that we have ever made.

Re. Gravity Gardens is a Must See
I'd also like to recommend the Carmel Food Tour. It was a great way to experience the area without doing much work - and the food was delicious!

Gravity Gardens is a Must See
We had a romantic holiday in America spending time in both Northern California. Carmel was one of our favorites. The weather was perfect 100% of the time. You must pay a fee to enter to some of the beach areas. They are part of the state park. We also enjoyed Gravity Gardens where rocks are built into unusual sculptures.
