However, conversely, if there is a major weekend event taking place on the Monterey Peninsula, then hotels can hike their prices by a half or more, depending upon demand. Do bear in mind that accommodation in the Carmel area often requires a minimum of a two-night stay during the summer season.

For accommodation close to the coastline, considering staying at the historic Highlands Inn on the Highland Drive, or at the Sandpiper Inn on the Bay View Avenue, which is literally a few minutes walk from Carmel's sandy beachfront.
