North Cheyenne Canon Park

This park is a popular swimming destination during the summer when locals flock to the pristine waters of North Cheyenne Creek and its series of lovely cascades and waterfalls. Much of the park consists of untouched forest crisscrossed with hiking trails as well as popular rock climbing spots, while adjacent to the entrance is the Starsmore Discovery Center, home to maps, information and a climbing wall.

This park was given to the city in 1899 by Colorado Springs founder, General William Jackson Palmer. It offers great views of the city as well as a comprehensive network of walking trails showcasing a myriad of wildlife and different types of vegetation. Also included in Palmer Park are a number of picnic areas, baseball fields and volleyball courts.
